Beginning Wednesday, November 22, traffic patterns will change on Brookside Boulevard near the Plaza

Beginning Wednesday, November 22, traffic will be pushed to the southbound lanes, or the west side, on Brookside Boulevard between Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

More details about this work include:

  • The east side of Brookside Boulevard will be closed from Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

  • Northbound and southbound traffic will have lane reductions on Brookside Boulevard during this work.

  • The sidewalk on the east side of Brookside Boulevard is anticipated to close the week of November 27 from Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Pedestrians should cross to the west side of Brookside Boulevard at 49th Street or at Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard.

This work is anticipated to take six months to complete, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. Please note, along with work for the bridge, other crews will be working within the traffic control to complete additional work including installing a new sewer line and building track.
