KC Streetcar Constructors to Move Rail for Track Construction
Crews will work in the early morning hours of Friday, September 15 to minimize impacts to the traveling public.
(Kansas City, MO) - KC Streetcar Constructors will pull at least 1,600 feet of rail from the rail staging area near 27th Street and Grand Boulevard. The rail will be pulled into the existing traffic control on the west side of Main Street near Pershing Road.
WHO: KC Streetcar Constructors in conjunction with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department.
WHEN: For the safety of all and to limit disruptions to the traveling public on Main Street, this work is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m. on Friday, September 15, and will be complete by 7 a.m.
WHERE: KC Streetcar Constructors will pull the rail from Grand Boulevard north on Main Street into the existing traffic control setup on the west side of Main Street near Pershing Road.
Cross-traffic at the Main Street intersections of Warwick Trafficway, Grand Boulevard, 27th Street and Pershing Road will be temporarily halted until the rail, equipment and personnel have cleared the intersection. Officers with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department will assist with traffic control during this process to facilitate a safe and efficient operation.
